Like other models, you control the correction from the transmitter. The collar receives the signal and vibrates. The vibrating collar is great for dogs that are hard of hearing. The receiver uses a 6 volt battery, and the transmitter uses a 9 volt battery, both included.
There is a
PetSafe training collar for every dog, regardless of breed and size. Dogs that weigh less than 20 pounds are considered small dogs and need small shock collars. Medium dogs weigh 21 to 55 pounds, and dogs that weigh more than 55 pounds are large dogs. Some units are specifically for one sized dog, but others are for any sized dog. PetSafe training collar. The transmitter uses a 9 volt alkaline battery, also included with the training units.
The PDLDT-305 Deluxe Little
Dog Training Collar is recommended for dogs that weigh at least eight pounds but less than 40 pounds. Easy to train dogs that are at least six months old can use this collar. The 305 Deluxe has 10 levels of correction and the tone-only feature and a range of 100 yards. Like the PRT-1200, these Petsafe collars have a waterproof collar and water resistant transmitter. Both have a low battery indicator. The receiver runs on two 3 volt batteries, and the transmitter uses a 9 volt battery, both included.
Although they use electronic correction, they do not physically harm your dog. Correction is mild and is similar to the feeling you get after you slide your feet on the carpet and then touch a door knob. It's an annoyance, but it doesn't cause any physical damage. Dogs may not have to wear

training collars forever. Once a dog realizes why it is being corrected, it will stop the bad behavior to avoid corrections.
