Rid-A-Tick Guide
Tick-borne diseases such as Lyme Disease are on the rise but can be prevented if the tick is removed quickly. Rid-A-Tick is a new way to remove ticks from people and pets without causing a worse wound. Some ticks are not fully removed with tweezers; Rid-A-Tick removes the whole tick every time. It is the only medical patch used to remove ticks.
Each FDA approved Rid-A-Tick patch is made of 3M medical tape and is about one inch in diameter; the patch works by suffocating the tick. Using Rid-A-Tick is easy. Simply place a patch firmly over the tick. Make sure the patch is sealed to clean, dry skin so the tick cannot get any air. After several minutes, as many as thirty, the tick will back out of the skin. The tick has not touched anyone else, so blood transfer to others is eliminated. A complete tick is removed without pain or fuss.
